Hi, I’m Dexter Crabtree—a portrait, wildlife, and landscape photographer based in Philomath, Oregon, in the heart of the Pacific Northwest. When I’m not behind the lens, I work as a nurse in the operating room, a role that has shaped my attention to detail, calm presence, and ability to connect with people in meaningful moments. Those qualities have naturally carried into my work as a photographer. What began as a simple curiosity, wandering local trails with a camera in hand, has grown into a passion that continues to inspire me every day. I’m especially drawn to the intricate beauty of wildlife, particularly birds. Their movement, personality, and quiet elegance push me to slow down, observe, and capture nature with intention.
